Welcome
Welcome to the website of the Sudbury Society, a registered charity with some 230 members which is affiliated to the Civic Trust and the Suffolk Preservation Society. Our broad objectives are threefold: 1. To stimulate local interest and pride in our attractive and historic market town. 2. To encourage the very highest standard of planning and architecture in the construction of new buildings and in the renovation of existing structures. 3. To protect, develop and improve the many features of historic or public interest.
The six images below were chosen to highlight the many significant unlisted buildings in the town. Due to the Society's efforts these have now been Locally Listed and the boundaries of the Conservation Area have been extended to include various clusters, for example in Station Road and Middleton Road.
